Read stories related to unit/or favorites

Involve children in each story

Discuss: colors, animal recognition, animal sounds, character names, same and different,

what will happen next.

2.      Learn & Sing “ABC’s”

3.      Additional activities

Discussions

Role playing or flannel board activities

Experiments or hands-on activities

10:05  Movement/gross motor skills  

Dancing or singing with music and movement

Ball catching and throwing

Bean-bag toss (emphasis on learning color words)

Follow me:  run, hop, skip, jump, crawl, roll 

Pretend to move like: bird, dog, cat, frog

10:20 -11:30   Table Time (10:45 Potty Break)

Math & Reading Readiness, Fine Motor Skills

Shape sorting/color matching

Puzzles

Counting, number recognition

 Games to develop critical thinking

Color activity related to social studies unit

Fun with chalk and board; letter & number writing

Cutting with scissors, pasting

Paint or other art activities

Computer Learning Games
